ROGER W. BJORKQUIST, Senior Consultant, CPA, FHFMA
Experience: Mr. Bjorkquist joined Echo in February, 2010 after retiring from a 38 year career with a "Big Four" accounting firm. As an audit partner with that firm, Roger built and led the Philadelphia area not-for-profit health care practice and worked full-time in that industry working exclusively with major integrated health care systems, community hospitals, specialty hospitals, behavioral health organizations, retirement communities, and other not-for-profit organizations on a variety of technical accounting issues. As an audit partner, he has been involved in well over 100 offerings of tax exempt bonds in deals ranging up to $750 million and is well versed in the related accounting issues, including accounting issues directly relating to derivatives. Mr. Bjorkquist is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and a member of the PICPA and AICPA and is an active member of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association and is a past president of that organization. He has been a certified HFMA Fellow since 1985. Roger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.
